Even robots deserve a break
Bringing you some juicy news about Microsoft's latest AI product updates. It's like they're giving their apps a shot of adrenaline, or maybe a dose of Red Bull. These updates cover both the Power Platform and Dynamics 365, and are being described as the "next generation" of AI capabilities. Powered by OpenAI's technology and built using the Azure OpenAI Service, these updates are the logical next step on Microsoft's automation journey.
In Dynamics 365, Microsoft is launching what they're calling "Copilot", which is like having a virtual assistant to do all the tedious sales and customer service tasks for you.
It's like having your own personal army of robots, but instead of taking over the world, they're just drafting email responses and creating meeting summaries in Outlook. Sounds pretty sweet, right? But don't worry, these updates are grounded in reality, using each customer's CRM, ERP, and other data sources to ensure accuracy.
And the best part? Copilot will be included in existing Dynamics 365 licenses, so you won't have to break the bank to get your hands on this virtual assistant. So sit back, relax, and let Copilot do the heavy lifting.

3D Brain Cells Incoming
Move over silicon, there's a new biocomputing sheriff in town, and it's in our brains.
Researchers detail how brain-machine technologies are leading the way in biocomputing, thanks to the emerging field of organoid intelligence (OI).
By using 3D cultures of human brain cells (brain organoids) and brain-machine interface technologies, scientists are developing biological computing that could be even more efficient than current computers running AI programs.
But it's not just about beating machines at Pong; OI could revolutionize drug testing research and help explore inter-individual neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders.
Of course, with great power comes great responsibility, and the researchers acknowledge the ethical concerns around OI, proposing an "embedded ethics" approach to ensure it develops in a socially and ethically responsive manner.
The future may be biologically powered, but there's still much research to be done before it becomes a reality.

Stability AI acquisition spree 👀
Why is this such a big deal? Well, it's all part of Stability AI's grand plan to develop the most advanced creative applications using their top-of-the-line open source generative AI models. And with Init ML's talented developers now on board, Clipdrop is about to get a serious boost in AI technology and computing power for their next generation of imaging.
Is ChatGPT the new teachers pet?
ChatGPT is no longer just a lazy student's secret weapon for acing schoolwork - turns out, the teachers are the real fans here! In a nationwide survey, over half of K-12 teachers (51%) admitted to using ChatGPT for school, while only a third of students (33%) copped to using it. I’m glad the education system is not sweating the small stuff and starting to embrace new tools that might actually help. Because let's be real, with reading and math test scores dropping like a hot potato during the pandemic, we could all use a little extra help - even if it comes in the form of a sassy AI chatbot.
AI is cloning voices, and scammers are cashing in on the chaos
It seems like the era of voice cloning is upon us, and it's not just something you'd see in a sci-fi movie. With the help of AI, a person's voice can be cloned with just a few seconds of audio, which is why scammers are taking advantage of the technology. They can easily get hold of your voice online and use it to manipulate your loved ones into thinking they need money urgently. One company that offers voice cloning tools has already seen an increasing number of misuse cases, so they've decided to take action by making it available only on paid tiers. That might deter some bad actors, but it's still important to be vigilant and protect yourself from these scams. After all, you wouldn't want to fall victim to a fake phone call from your "loved ones" asking for money, now would you?
